AEGIS is expanding its Gas Operator Training Program

Did you know that the AEGIS Gas Operator Training Program is one of the most popular services we offer our members? In response to the ever-growing demand for these services, AEGIS is expanding its Gas Operator Program Training team.

We are pleased to announce that Walter Munro has joined the AEGIS Loss Control team as a Senior Natural Gas Operations Trainer. Walt comes to AEGIS from Liberty Utilities, where he worked in a variety of roles in both field operations and management. At Liberty, his responsibilities included responding to natural gas emergencies as a field service technician and construction worker, as well as functioning as the Manager of Technical Training and Compliance. 

The expanded AEGIS Gas Operator Training Team will have a greater capacity to provide AEGIS members customized training, virtual or on-site, including our most requested AEGIS Gas Operator Training Programs:  

1. Natural Gas First Responder Training – A program for all natural gas industry first responders, focusing on the number one priority with natural gas emergencies: the protection of life, then property. 
2. New Employee Training – An introductory program for field and management
   employees beginning their careers in the natural gas industry. 
3. Customer Contact Center/Dispatcher Training – A program focusing on the company’s procedures for effectively listening to emergency calls, beginning the utilities emergency response process while relaying vital safety instructions to the caller.

All AEGIS training, workshops and presentations are provided as a value-added service to our members.
