Register Today for the AEGIS Loss Control Fire Protection Training Class

There's still time to register for AEGIS' popular Loss Control Fire Protection Training Class presented in partnership with Oklahoma State University (OSU), coming up October 21— 23 at OSU in Stillwater, OK. This three-day hands-on training is geared toward employees responsible for inspecting, testing or maintaining fire protection systems or for those managing third parties who perform this work. As Li-ion BESS installations surge, so do the risks. We're in the process of updating and modernizing our Lessons Learned videos – a series that AEGIS member companies have relied on for years to train employees and stakeholders. AEGIS is pleased to present its latest Claims Roundtable, Cyber Resilience: Incident Response Tabletop Exercises and Litigation Updates on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm ET.

In this virtual live roundtable discussion, industry experts will guide us through a ransomware incident in which the victim company's enterprise and operational systems have been interrupted and sensitive data has been exfiltrated. The panel will discuss best practices for responding to and recovering from the incident, potential ransom negotiations with the threat actor, and notification to regulators, business partners and impacted individuals. The discussion will also examine the calculation of business income losses and subsequent class litigation.

This one-of-a-kind live webinar, led by highly experienced industry faculty, focuses exclusively on educating and preparing attorneys, claims and loss control professionals, and risk managers in the energy industry. We encourage you to register today.

Employee Spotlight: Lucas Search joins AEGIS as a National General Adjuster

We're pleased to announce that Lucas Search has joined the AEGIS Property Claims Division as a National General Adjuster. In his new role, Lucas is responsible for managing claims under All-Risk Property and Builders' Risk policies, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional service to AEGIS Members. He approaches each claim with fairness, efficiency, and a commitment to achieving mutually beneficial resolutions.

In addition to claims handling, Lucas provides hands-on support by conducting site visits and meeting directly with Members to ensure their needs are thoroughly addressed and that there is an open line of communication between Members and AEGIS Claims.

Lucas brings extensive experience in commercial property claims, having had prior roles at Sedgwick as a Senior Independent Adjuster and at Charles Taylor Adjusting as a National General Independent Adjuster, where he specialized in both conventional and renewable energy claims. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Health Care Management from Towson University and maintains active Property & Casualty Adjuster Licenses in 15 states.

AEGIS is Moving

As we've shared, the AEGIS office is moving. After 18 years in our current location, we've decided that the time is right to begin a new chapter in vibrant Jersey City, NJ, that will best meet our evolving needs. Renovations to our beautiful new space are progressing well, and we are on track to move before the end of the year. We look forward to sharing updates on our progress and inviting you to visit us in our new home.
