We are pleased to offer a very limited number of remaining seats at the popular Fire Protection System Training Class, which will be held Tuesday, October 25 through Thursday, October 27 at Oklahoma State University (OSU) in Stillwater, OK.
This three-day training class provides AEGIS member company employees with both classroom and hands-on instruction on the various types of fire protection systems associated with power generation and natural gas operations. In addition to traditional classroom instruction and practical exercises, attendees are encouraged to participate in the hands-on training sessions to gain familiarity with the fire protection equipment that’s typically used in the power generation and natural gas industry. Casual dress is recommended for the hands-on training sessions.
The following topics will be covered:
Power generation and natural gas operations fire hazards
Fire pumps / water supplies overview and testing
Fire alarm and detection systems
Water-based extinguishing systems
Alternative extinguishing systems (i.e., CO2, FM200, etc.)
The registration fee is $450 for employees of AEGIS member companies, which includes the cost of the three-day training class, a copy of NFPA 25 (Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems code book), the AEGIS-sponsored group dinner on Tuesday, as well as lunches.
Attendance is limited to 25 people, so please register now. For more information, or if you know of someone within your organization who would be interested in attending and would like to receive an invitation, please contact Cindy Baczynski by e-mail or Tom Clark by e-mail.
