After more than 40 years of service to the natural gas industry, the last 16 of which have been with AEGIS Loss Control, Ron Six retired at the end of August. Ron trained thousands of natural gas company employees over the years, and he established an industry-leading training program at AEGIS. We thank Ron for his many contributions and wish him all the best in his retirement.
David Zak, a Senior Utility Consultant in AEGIS Loss Control, will assume Ron’s responsibilities. David served more than 20 years at Ameren Utilities, working in the field, the training center, and in various management positions. His responsibilities included serving as a natural gas foreman, contractor oversight, call center and dispatcher training, administering the Ameren Operator Qualification Training, Gas Apprenticeship and Quality Assurance Programs, as well as serving as the liaison for Ameren with state regulatory commissions.
At AEGIS, David is responsible for the “for-fee” Natural Gas Operator Training that provides a variety of on-site training sessions and workshops covering the principles of operating and maintaining a safe and reliable system, and how to apply those principles in the field. This training includes customer contact, first responder, natural gas leak pinpointing, incident investigation, leakage program management and utility locating. To discuss training opportunities for your company, please contact David by e-mail or by phone at 201.665.5412.
