AEGIS Loss Control is pleased to announce its latest webinar, Pipeline Safety Management Systems for Small Operators, on March 5, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm EST.
Pipeline operators face numerous daily challenges, which can make the goal of achieving zero incidents seem overwhelming. However, implementing a scalable management system framework that combines both top-down and bottom-up approaches is crucial for fostering a safety culture. This involves operational ownership of essential pipeline safety principles, which is key to successful risk mitigation. We invite you to join us for an important discussion about Pipeline Safety Management Systems (PSMS) and API RP 1173, where we will explore a practical fit-for-purpose approach for both small and large operators to consider when applying these principles in their day-to-day operations.
Who Should Attend
Pipeline Safety Management is a shared responsibility that involves anyone directly or indirectly involved in ensuring safe pipeline operations. This includes pipeline operator leadership, management responsible for implementing PSMS, front-line supervisors, safety personnel, risk management teams, regulatory personnel, and anyone with a stake in pipeline safety which may also encompass community representatives and contractors.
What is Covered
The presentation will offer an overview of the benefits of adopting Pipeline Safety Management System (PSMS) principles into day-to-day operations. It will provide practical tools and tips specifically designed for smaller natural gas operators to consider when implementing safety management system principles. The focus will be on identifying and mitigating operational risks using a Plan-Do-Check-Act approach, tailored to fit the scale and complexity of their systems.
About the Presenter

He has over 40 years of experience in operations, technical roles and regulatory matters related to gas distribution and transmission pipeline system management.
