AEGIS Loss Control is pleased to announce its latest webinar, Increasing the Effectiveness of Distribution Overhead Line Inspection Programs, on September 4, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm EDT.
Industry experience has shown that electric utility personnel focused on reliability and operational aspects of their systems sometimes do not recognize potential exposures that could affect public safety. The reality is that over sixty-five percent of electric claims reported to AEGIS involve overhead distribution lines and equipment. We invite you to tune in to hear how effectively documented distribution line inspections can identify and remediate substandard conditions before they become a hazard to the public.
Who Should Attend
Individuals responsible for electric distribution overhead line inspection and maintenance, risk management, and field supervision will benefit from attending this webinar. We also welcome anyone interested in understanding more about AEGIS Loss Control’s Focused Service, Electric Utility Distribution Overhead Line Inspection presentation, which provides practical advice to those who perform overhead line inspections on how to recognize conditions that may impact public safety and reliability.
What is Covered
This critical safety presentation focuses on the importance of an effective line inspection program, offering practical tips for line inspectors, including awareness of leaning poles, excessively sagging wires, and broken guy wires that may affect required clearances or present potential dangers to utility personnel or the general public. Participants will review incidents involving electric shock from energized guy wires or low conductors that have occurred, focusing on lessons learned from incidents when deficiencies were not identified and properly addressed.
