AEGIS Loss Control is pleased to announce its latest webinar, How Safe Are Your Substations – Increasing the Effectiveness of Substation Inspection Programs, on October 4 at 2:00 pm EDT.
Substations are integral components of all electric utility transmission and distribution systems, and represent a substantial investment for their owners. If not properly designed, constructed and maintained, these facilities may present significant exposures that could affect public safety and system reliability. Please join us on October 4 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm for our latest webinar, How Safe Are Your Substations – Increasing the Effectiveness of Substation Inspection Programs, which will discuss practical tips and lessons learned on substation safety.
Who Should Attend
Individuals responsible for electric substation inspection and maintenance, physical security, risk management and field supervision would benefit from attending this webinar. We also welcome anyone interested in understanding more about AEGIS Loss Control’s Focused Services Electric Utility Substation Safety and Security Inspection presentation, which provides practical advice on how to recognize conditions that may impact public safety and security.
What Is Covered
This presentation focuses on the importance of an effective inspection program. Industry experience has shown that electric utility personnel are focused on the technical and operational aspects of their systems, and sometimes do not recognize potential exposures that could affect public safety. Participants will also hear lessons learned from electric contact incidents when deficiencies were not identified and properly addressed. Additionally, the presentation will touch upon reliability issues pertaining to external threats.
