AEGIS Loss Control is pleased to announce its latest webinar, Current Trends in Generator Maintenance and Technology, on May 3 at 2:00 pm EDT.
Who Should Attend
Power Plant employees, individuals engaged in generator operation and maintenance or risk management, or others seeking to learn about current generator failure modes and trends in the industry won’t want to miss this important safety webinar.
What is Covered
Changing expectations in the power generation industry continues to present challenges for those who operate generators, both old and new. Older generators are either being shut down or rewound, with greater expectations for cyclical operation and/or increased output. Likewise, expectations for increased operational reliability with less preventative maintenance and longer periods between maintenance cycles are putting newer units to the test.
This webinar will focus on the most recent issues and trends in generator technology. It will explore the current operation, maintenance and repair practices at power generating facilities.
About the Presenter
The webinar will be presented by Howard Moudy, Director of Operations for National Electric Coil (NEC). Howard has been with NEC for over 22 years. He oversees their high-voltage stator coil manufacturing, generator field service operations, and Columbus Service Center, which primarily focuses on the repair, rewind and high-speed balance of rotors and exciters. Howard’s career has spanned a number of companies and positions for over 43 years, and his efforts have generally focused on large, high-voltage rotating electric machines with an emphasis on coil manufacturing.
