AEGIS Loss Control is pleased to announce its latest webinar, Review of AEGIS Major Liability Losses, on April 5 at 2:00 pm EDT.
Who Should Attend
Individuals responsible for risk management, safety and utility field operations would benefit from attending this webinar. Attendees will learn how to access the AEGIS Review of Major Liability Losses (RMLLs), and search and sort the contents to find losses of interest to them and their employees.
What is Covered
As a benefit to our members, AEGIS provides access to an annual Review of Major Liability Losses (RMLL). This webinar will present an overview of the AEGIS RMLLs and the many ways for members to use this valuable resource. Attendees will learn how to access the RMLLs on aegislink.com and how to easily search and sort the content. The webinar will also include a presentation and discussion of a few electric and natural gas claims.
These annual publications provide valuable information regarding the nature and significance of some of the largest losses associated with electric and natural gas utility operations. They are intended to be used in conjunction with a utility's risk management program. The RMLL claim summaries highlight information or events contributing to an incident. A "Lessons to Be Learned" section, included with each claim description, contains specific information for utilities to consider to reduce the likelihood of similar events on their system.
RMLL summaries are often used in presentations or safety meetings to inform employees of significant incidents occurring in the industry and to raise awareness that “this could happen here.” While we can’t prevent all incidents, as a Mutual, we have a duty to learn from events that have occurred in our industry and do as much as possible to prevent similar events from happening in the future.
