AEGIS Loss Control is pleased to announce its latest webinar, the AEGIS Loss Control Risk Assessment – Preparation and Process, featuring AEGIS Loss Control’s Jyotin “Joe” Thaker, Senior Electric Utility Professional, and Anthony “Tony” Tetto, Natural Gas Utility Technical Lead.
Who should attend
Utility employees responsible for risk management, construction, inspection, survey or maintenance, and public safety awareness activities are strongly encouraged to participate in this webinar.
What is covered
AEGIS Loss Control Professionals’ singular focus on safe and reliable operations has earned them a reputation for being energy industry loss control experts. These professionals have worked in the electric and natural gas utility industry for many years as an operator, engineer, or safety professional prior to joining AEGIS. An integral part of their role as AEGIS Loss Control Professionals is to visit member companies to review operations and offer suggestions that assist the utility in operating a safe and reliable system and reduce their long-term cost of risk. This webinar focuses on the preparation for and process of an AEGIS Casualty Risk Assessment.
Typically conducted on a three-year cycle, an AEGIS Casualty Risk Assessment involves the utility’s risk manager and operational subject matter experts (SMEs) covering a variety of topics. Questions are posed to the SMEs that are derived from the professional’s experience, other utility operations observations or findings, and AEGIS claim experience. Each topic element is evaluated for prudent standards, policies, or procedures as they relate to the public’s safety.
AEGIS Loss Control Professionals will lead participants through the process and review typical electric and natural gas operation topics such as design standards, system inspections, substation inspections, emergency call handling and dispatch, dams, joint pole practices, wildfire mitigation, and public safety awareness programs, damage prevention, continuing surveillance, odorization, emergency call handling and response, system inspections, customer premise practices, natural gas storage, and public safety awareness programs.
